Rodney Shrum

Rodney Shrum founded Number 9 Networking in 2018 with a simple but powerful vision: to create a business networking organization where genuine relationships come before transactions. He believes that trust, collaboration, and a willingness to help others succeed are the foundation of every successful business relationship.

With more than 20 years of experience in the electronic payments industry and over a decade in sales and marketing, Rodney has dedicated his career to helping business owners grow through strategic partnerships, education, and innovative solutions. His passion for connecting entrepreneurs has made Number 9 Networking a thriving community where professionals support one another, exchange ideas, and create lasting business relationships.

Rodney's commitment to leadership extends well beyond business networking. He was honored as the 2019 Ambassador of the Year by the O'Fallon Chamber of Commerce and has served on the Board of Directors for both the O'Fallon Chamber of Commerce (2020–2022) and the Cottleville-Weldon Spring Chamber of Commerce (2023–2025). Through these leadership roles, he has actively worked to strengthen the local business community and champion small business success.

Rodney also serves on the Board of Directors for Ella's Umbrella, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families who have experienced the loss of a child. His volunteer service reflects his belief that leadership is measured not only by professional success but also by a commitment to serving others and making a positive impact in the community.

As the founder of Number 9 Networking, Rodney continues to invest his time in creating opportunities for business owners to connect, collaborate, and grow together. His mission is to build a community where relationships are valued, referrals are earned through trust, and every member has the opportunity to succeed by helping others do the same.
